Lufthansa staged further strike action on Wednesday last January 28th. The strike action took place between 6am and 12pm. Many flights were cancelled including flights at Berlin Tegel Airport and Frankfurt Airport.

Despite no longer being in operation, Tempelhof Airport is costing the German government over fourteen million euro a year. It looks like being a long term problem according to the state-owned real estate company currently in charge of the airport.

Readers vote Jet2.com as best short-haul airline

A poll of Observer and Guardian readers in the UK has voted Jet2.com as the best short-haul airline in the UK. The airline has received the accolade for the 3rd year running.  The airline also scoped 2nd prize for best short-haul airline in Europe juts behind the German airline Lufthansa.

Berlin to host Woodstock

Two Woodstock concerts are due to take place next August. The first in New York on either August 15th or 16th but more importantly for readers of this blog the 2nd concert takes place in Berlin on August 22nd.
